Anxiety disorders (including Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Specific Phobias, Panic Disorder) can present in a variety of ways including:- Panic attacks/anxiety attacks in which you feel you are losing control, even going to die, heart racing, palms sweating
- Worrying about what will happen in the future and worrying excessively about the little things
- Nervous or restless feelings
- Fear of social situations
- Performance anxiety
- Claustrophobia
- Avoidance of going out due to fear of having an anxiety attack or social situations
- Irritability, feeling easily angered, anger outbursts

If left unchecked, anxiety can spread and take over more and more of your life. It makes it hard to be present and enjoy each moment. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or OCD is characterized by obsessive thoughts and/or compulsive behaviors. Obsessions are distressing irrational, intrusive thoughts that occur over and over. Compulsions are behviors individuals feel compelled to do and if you don't engage in, it doesn't feel right and causes alot of distress and anxiety. Often times, individuals may not disclose their thoughts and behaviors either because of shame or they may not even realize that these thoughts are unusual. They can feel alone and isolated and OCD can lead to great suffering. Fortunately there are effective treatments for OCD including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and psychotropic medication management. I would love to work with you on your path to overcoming these distressing thoughts and behaviors. Some ways OCD can manifest:- Ritualistic behaviors such as getting ready in a certain specific order
- Washing ones hands excessively
- Superstituous beliefs and rituals
- Performing acts a specific number of times
- Counting obsessively
- Rewriting until it is perfect
- Intrussive images that can be violent, sexual or horrific in nature
- Symmetery
- Even and odd numbers
